a camera in every pocket

I believe the popularity of cellphones is destroying the world of photography. High-quality cameras are not as popular and will soon be irrelevant. As the new models of phones come out the cameras keep getting better. This is causing less interest in actual photographs and cameras. Sadly some people don't even care about actual photographs. I mean as long as they are on my phone and backed up to my computer its all fine, right? Wrong. The value of high-quality cameras will soon be non-existent. This is due to many of the new social media apps, as well. Cellphones and social media create an easy format to take photos. Instead of buying an expensive high-quality camera that is only useful for taking photos, people invest in cellphones. Antonio Olmos stated, "Photographers are getting destroyed by the rise of iPhones. The photographers who used to make £1,000 for a weekend taking wedding pictures are the ones facing the squeeze. Increasingly we don't need photographers – we can do just as well ourselves."
However, I believe that a high-quality camera and a skilled photographer will take a little more than an iphone and Instagram to knock it out. There is a certain pride and beauty that comes with taking a photograph. Something that can't be that easily replaced. Photography is a form of art that is incredibly interesting. It also mentions, "There are those people that are genuinely caring for the photographic event – the photo."
